Why did you choose a career at Eurofins?
I’d already had my eye on Eurofins during my studies and was aware of the many different analyses they carry out. I was very interested in environmental chemistry and analytical chemistry, so it seemed a natural fit for me to join Eurofins.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different as the tasks vary a lot. Firstly, I address inquiries from other departments and from within my own team.
In addition, I collaborate with my team members about their tasks and how best we can solve them. Often there may be questions about analyses for which we do not have the appropriate method. In these cases, we look into whether we have the opportunity to develop a new method that can analyse exactly what the customer is asking for.
I also have direct customer contact, helping them with special tests and problem-solving solutions.
Which skills are most important in your role?
The most important thing is to be able to multi-task, i.e. maintain an overview of the many different tasks and be able to prioritise. In addition, I must be approachable for my employees, as well as for the laboratory and the customer service centre, to come to me with questions.
What do you like most about Eurofins?
I really appreciate the many opportunities for development at Eurofins. If you have the courage to go for something, you’ll usually be able to achieve it.
Eurofins also has a very informal working environment, where everyone can approach anyone.
