MEET SAMIR, who joined Eurofins after graduating from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam with a Master’s in Supply Chain Management. Samir is an Innovation Manager in the Netherlands.

What did you do before joining Eurofins?
I joined Eurofins after graduating from my Master’s in Supply Chain Management at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. I had previously worked for a year elsewhere after my bachelor’s degree, but chose to apply to Eurofins because they offered a work life that was more varied.

What kind of projects do you work on?
I work on a range of consultant, operational management, and transport logistics projects for our Food, Environment, and Clinical Diagnostics business lines, which all differ in nature. They can involve IT landscaping, logistics and operations process design and data management. For instance, we are currently developing new technologies for our drivers and working on optimising the supply chain. My favourite project thus far has been opening the biggest COVID-19 testing lab in the Netherlands, due to its societal significance and fast-paced development.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Eurofins?
The variety – I work on a range of very different projects, which are not purely logistics in nature. It’s a multidisciplinary environment that really expands my horizons, while also allowing me to apply what I learnt in my studies. I also love that the environment is fast-paced and not strictly hierarchical. I’m surrounded by knowledgeable, driven colleagues of all levels of seniority.

What’s next?
My career path is flexible. In the future, I want to grow my skills in project management.
