Meet Anita, Junior Group Buyer in Katowice, Poland. Anita graduated from the Saxion University of Applied Sciences with a BSc in Fashion & Textile Technologies, and joined Eurofins full-time after a Purchasing internship with us.

You did an internship with Eurofins – what inspired you to stay?
It was so different from my other internships, which were in fashion buying; at Eurofins, it was much more challenging and diverse. I was able to see projects through from the very beginning and easily seek support and advice from both colleagues and supervisors.

What’s a typical day at Eurofins like?
We have communication with a lot of different suppliers around the globe, making every day different. On a daily basis, I also maintain prices by handling contracts with worldwide suppliers. Meanwhile, I research new supplier options and negotiate the best possible purchasing conditions with them. I also have my own projects, as well as being part of big projects for the Group.

What's been your favourite project at Eurofins so far, then?
My favourite project was helping to set up a mobile COVID-19 testing lab for Brussels airport. It was a big international project with tight deadlines and, of course, a huge social impact. I had to find suppliers of mobile labs and evaluate the best options. It’s rewarding to play a direct part in the fight against COVID-19 through my work.

What’s the best thing about working for Eurofins?
I work with colleagues from many different cultures and backgrounds, which also helps me to gain a broader knowledge. I also like that the leaders are approachable.
