Why did you choose a career at Eurofins?
I wanted to be part of a company that actually contributes to making the world a better place while valuing a healthy professional and personal life balance.

What are your main responsibilities?
As part of my role I have many responsibilities. I must ensure that my team members work to the best of their abilities and help them to gel together as a team, while also keeping everyone focused on the same goal. I also try to help my teams to develop a more flexible mind-set, which is crucial to my most important task: developing high-quality solutions, both on time and within the budget of the project.

What's your favourite thing about working for Eurofins?
My favourite thing about Eurofins is the freedom I have to develop. The high-energy atmosphere, strong internal communication and leadership support, coupled with many learning opportunities, help individuals to act as entrepreneurs within the company and develop their own skills with a high degree of autonomy.  The organisation is very multicultural, and as a result there are many opportunities to interact with colleagues from various nationalities and cultural backgrounds, which is also another interesting facet of working for Eurofins.

How would you describe the Eurofins culture?
The culture is very open and transparent: every employee, irrespective of their position, is given a chance to be heard, and there are ample opportunities available to those who want to build a career here.
It is a very diverse organisation with an innovative and entrepreneurial approach that distinguishes it from its competitors. Since I joined Eurofins, I have seen myself transform as a professional in many ways, and the company has also seen many changes, all of which have been for the better.

What surprised you about Eurofins?
I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was trusted to take on new work and more responsibility, and I am constantly presented with new opportunities to broaden my knowledge and gain more experience. The ever-changing environment at Eurofins means that it is possible to progress to leadership roles very quickly, and the feedback from Eurofins’ leaders helps me to feel like my contribution is being noticed and valued.

What skills come most in handy in your job?
As someone with a background in IT, my technical skills are definitely very important, be it for solution architecture or software development. Meanwhile, the Project Management elements of my role require careful planning and budgeting to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within the budget. Finally, as a leader it is important that I can communicate well and connect with my team on a personal level, which helps with my goal of influencing and inspiring my team to be the best that they can be.
